MASTERCLASS: Creating a Hit TV Comedy

This 5-day intensive Masterclass is designed to give TV comedy writers, directors, and producers the creative and practical skills necessary to create Singapore’s (or the world’s) next hit TV series.

Coming up with a great TV idea takes more than just an idea. A hit TV show is designed in highly specific ways to churn out episode after episode for years to come.

A-list comedy showrunners like Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory), Mike Schur (Brooklyn 99), and Robert Carlock (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) use special techniques and processes to create, develop, and sell their work.

In this Masterclass, participants learn the essentials of developing hit TV comedies. They will create their own concepts and characters, craft a pilot, generate episode ideas, and put it all together in a presentable, sellable document… meaning your show could be the world’s next Family Guy, Silicon Valley, or How I Met Your Mother!
