Trainer Profile

Without a doubt, Peter Andrikidis would be the most awarded, and busiest, TV Director in Australia. His awards include 6 Australian Film Institute Awards for Best Direction and 9 Australian Film Institute Awards for Best Drama. He is also the winner of 2 Silver Hugos, 7 Gold/Silver Plaques for Best Achievement in Direction/Best Drama of Jessica, Heroes' Mountain, BlackJack and The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant at the Chicago International Television/Film Awards and 2 Gold Medals for Best Mini-Series at the New York Festival for Mary Bryant and East West 101.

Peter graduated from Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Film Direction in 1981 as one of the youngest graduate students. His subsequent list of credits is hugely impressive. In addition to the credits already mentioned, Peter directed the ABC dramas Wildside, Grass Roots, My Husband, MyKiller, and The Straits, the SBS Series East West 101 and the Nine Network Underbelly Uncut series. His credits also include mini-series False Witness, Killing Time, Brothers-in Arms and telemovies The Informant and Blood Brothers.
