Data-Driven Content Development Workshop



A workshop that focuses on the use of data to drive the process of content creation and development for Television programmes. Participants will be trained on the usage of different types of data, research and approaches to gather data and insights to support creative decision making. Drawing from the expertise of Mediacorp’s TV Commissioners and Consumer Insights and Analytics Professionals as well as Social Media Trainers, this workshop will train the participants in developing content that is driven by figures, data and analytics.

  • Understanding audience viewership
  • Understanding data and trends
  • Introduction to data and research
  • Online/social media research: tools to make data-driven decisions
  • Social monitoring versus social listening
  • Building a data-driven pitch

At the end of every segment, participants will be divided into groups for discussions and hands-on exercises to reinforce the key learning points.

The workshop will conclude with a mock pitch session where participants will present their concepts to a panel comprising the course trainers and Mediacorp Commissioners. The panel will give feedback on how the pitches have made use of data, and the creativity aspects that are also key components.
