MASTERCLASS: Live Multi-Camera Production

 

Overview

This 3-day Masterclass aims to equip producers with the knowledge of producing and directing under a multi-camera set-up, an essential skill for regular and ‘live’ shows.

  • Know about the Live Gallery Environment
  • Learn about the challenges of location shooting and outside broadcast production

This highly intensive Masterclass is suitable for Directors and Camera Operators with at least 1 year of experience in production.

Trainer Profile

Stephen Potter trained at the BBC in London, first as a floor manager, and then as a producer and director in Sport and Events Group, which broadcasts stage occasions such as Trooping the Colour, the State Opening of Parliament and Cenotaph memorials. He went on to produce and direct many prestigious productions such as the Antiques Roadshow, Mastermind, the Chelsea Flower Show, the One Show, Newsnight and Stargazing Live. He has continued his association with large events, working on the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Funeral of Baroness Thatcher, the Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games Sessions. Stephen went freelance after 15 years at the BBC. He spends much of his time working as a production consultant in Europe and the Middle East.
